It's love at first sight when head pastry chef Brendan Pope meets Harley Banks at Serenity Inn for her latest investigation. As Harley uncovers illegal activity from the current manager at the hotel, she and Brendan fall hard for each other. But unknown to them both, a man connected to Harley's previous human trafficking case has sent a hitman to kill her for taking down the empire he’d built. The day the hitman comes, Harley escapes his bullet, but narrowly. The FBI gets involved to clean up the loose ends so Harley can continue the investigation at the inn. But after nearly losing her, Brendan will stop at nothing to make sure the criminals are caught and Harley is safe.
